Off to two basically unplanned weeks in Ireland. We thought it sounded wonderful…until we were shamed by relative’s detailed (to the pub) itinerary. OK, so not to be out done, here is a list of some things I hope to see: a wild Irish Rose, in the wild or in person, a jolly tinker, a tinkers damn and a Wild Rover. I am sure we are related to Rose and Rover. Mare can trace the genealogy if we find them. I wish St Christopher wasn't demoted,we will need help with the driving.

day one the journey begins.

So, we arrive at the Minneapolis airport timely, looking cute in our travel clothes, only to be delayed by the thunderstorms in Chicago ... Ugh, we were praying to our guardian angels and any other less used saints for safe travels. It appears we should have included one of the Greek gods of thunder. Who was that Thor? Oh well, chocolate and a good book. Advil ans pain patches should help for a few hours . Stay tuned... Might not be able to up date until we get to UK........730 pm, enjoying the thunderstorms, wicked rain and wind in Chicago ....no take off in sight
